With the quiet season for racing approaching, club members are starting to prepare for our own Chedworth Roman Trail.  Earlier this year this demanding off road race was a casualty of the April floods but entries for the re-run on Sept 2nd are nearly full and anyone wanting to race along the tracks and paths around Chedworth should hurry to grab a place via Entry Central.

parkruns, 5km trail

Only one win this week, but what a win, with 11 year old Henry Sheffield coming first at Stonehouse.  Nick Holliday was second in Cirencester while Martin Croucher, finishing ten seconds faster, was 10th at Redditch showing typical Croucher consistency as records show he completed a parkrun in exactly the same time exactly one year ago.  Jacob McAdam finished in 20 minutes dead to come 10th at Swindon and Neil Morrissey, 52 second slower, was 23rd in Darlington.  Finally, Maggie Elsey chose Cirencester for her first organised event for many years.
